The SETC Scholarship Award Program shall be available to all students presently enrolled in SETC. New students will be considered for scholarships after participation in at least one scheduled Fall, Winter, Spring or Summer Session of lessons.
An SETC Scholarship Award form may be obtained from a SETC Director and must be filled out completely to be considered. Applications must be returned to a Director or mailed to SETC, P.O. Box 651312, Vero Beach, FL 32965.
Applications will be reviewed in the order in which they are received.
Reapplication for a scholarship must be made for each session.
Scholarships may be granted to cover full or reduced lesson fees.
Decisions for scholarships will be based on financial need in addition to review by The SETC Board of Directors.
The Scholarship Award Program may be discontinued at any time.
A Scholarship Award may be revoked if any Policies or Procedures are violated.
Scholarship Awards have no cash value and may not be redeemed for money.
In return for the scholarship, recipients and/or family members are required to donate at least two (2) hours of volunteer time to SETC sometime during the lesson period for which the scholarship is granted.
PROCEDURES
If a scholarship has been awarded, the following procedures call for adherence.
You will be notified by a Director when and if a scholarship has been awarded. A copy of your scholarship application will be given to you indicating acceptance or rejection.
The number of awarded scholarship lessons will be determined by the session for which you applied. The session and number of lessons will be indicated on your copy of the scholarship application
Lessons for a specific session may not be utilized for a different session.
All policies and procedures regarding regular SETC lessons will apply to scholarship lessons and be strictly enforced. Please refer to our SETC Riding Lesson Policy and Procedures.
